I’m not sure what was the most spectacular aspect of this wine: the Shiraz in the bottle that Robert Parker found almost perfect, the label, or the box, both designed by one of the greatest wine label designers I’ve ever met, Jeff Keedy. This wine was controversial to be sure, and the name was very unconventional, though it turned out to be very popular in Asia where "Fu" is a magical word. While divisive, the name certainly "outed" narrow-minded merchants with a rigid and conventional ideal of what can and can not be on a wine bottle. The winemaking was a tour de force, capturing all the finest aspects of Shiraz from the greatest vineyards in the Northern Barossa.
